There does tend to be high sodium levels in seaweed. How to avoid this issue, since the relationship between sodium and hypertension is strong?

Salt and Kelp

Bull Kelp Seaweed (Nereocystis leutkeana) salty taste is mostly from Potassium rather than Sodium. That is why kelp powder or kelp flakes are often used as a low sodium table salt substitute.
