• Rhodophyta is most often used medicinally as an iodine extract. Standardized iodine extracts of Rhodophyta or other seaweeds should be taken according to the dosage of iodine required and only under the supervision of a qualified medical practitioner or physician.
• For use externally as a plaster, macerate Rhodophyta fronds with a small amount of water and apply wet for tightening to occur while drying.
